1. USDA Small Business Workshop
USDA’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization holds a virtual Small Business Workshop on September 16 at 10:30 a.m. Eastern. The session addresses businesses learning how to approach federal procurement or improve their response to government requirements.

2. Deep Tech Week — Austin
Deep Tech Week comes to Austin September 21–26, bringing together engineers, scientists, founders, and investors working on technologies with substantial physical and scientific requirements. Arena Commons is among the listed locations for the week’s activities.
Topics span robotics, hardware, energy storage, aerospace, and defense. The program is organized around the deep-tech ecosystem rather than a single federal acquisition, giving the event a different focus from an agency industry day. Registration information is available through the calendar listing.
3. Fort Benning Maneuver Warfighter Conference
The Fort Benning Maneuver Warfighter Conference continues through September 17 at McGinnis-Wickam Hall in Fort Benning, Georgia. Federal Business Council organizes the in-person industry event around Army readiness, mobility, protection, lethality, and sustainment.
The audience includes program managers, acquisition leaders, capability developers, and operational commanders. Robotics, AI, autonomy, and survivability are among the technology themes. Exhibits and an icebreaker reception complement discussions of the systems and capabilities supporting maneuver forces.
4. US Cyber Challenge awards dinner and CIO/CISO roundtable
U.S. Cyber Challenge hosts its awards dinner and CIO/CISO roundtable on September 23 in Washington, D.C. The program connects cybersecurity policy and operational discussion with the organization’s work developing cybersecurity talent.
The evening includes a reception, roundtable, awards presentation, and networking. Participants include members of the National Cyber Bowl student cohort, bringing workforce development into the same program as executive security perspectives. The calendar listing provides the venue and ticket-registration details for the in-person gathering.
5. Government Contracting Conference
The Greater Washington Society of CPAs holds its Government Contracting Conference on September 24 at Towers Crescent in Vienna, Virginia, with virtual participation also available. The program focuses on financial, accounting, and compliance questions affecting government contractors.
Sessions cover DCAA incurred-cost audits, changes involving the FAR and Cost Accounting Standards, CMMC, mergers and acquisitions, and state taxation. A CFO panel adds an operating perspective to the technical agenda. The mix is aimed at professionals responsible for contractor finances and business oversight.
6. CDAO Government
Corinium Intelligence’s CDAO Government conference runs September 22–23 in the Washington, D.C., metro area. The gathering brings government data and analytics leaders together around the practical work of using data and AI across public organizations.
The agenda includes data quality, governance, Zero Trust, and citizen experience, with perspectives from National Guard and State Department leaders among the listed participants. Its focus is how agencies organize and apply information, including the management responsibilities that sit alongside technical adoption.
7. Cocktails & Conversations: GovCon Challenges
Federal Publications Seminars hosts Cocktails & Conversations: GovCon Challenges on September 23 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, with a virtual option. The program combines a panel discussion with an in-person reception.
Topics include FAR and DFARS changes, cost accounting, executive-order implementation, cybersecurity, and supply-chain risk. The format brings several current contracting issues into a single conversation rather than a full-day training course. The event is listed as free, with registration details available through the calendar.
8. CyberSat
Access Intelligence’s CyberSat runs November 2–5, with separate unclassified and classified portions. The unclassified program takes place November 2–3 at the Hyatt Regency Reston; the classified program follows November 4–5 at The Aerospace Corporation’s facility in Chantilly, Virginia.
The conference focuses on cybersecurity for satellite and space systems, bringing operators, engineers, AI researchers, and military participants into the discussion. Attendance at the classified portion requires the stated TS/SCI access, including SI/TK and NOFORN restrictions. Registration and access requirements differ between the two portions.
9. NDIA Cybersecurity Division Meeting
The National Defense Industrial Association’s Cybersecurity Division meets October 6 at NDIA headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. The program examines cyber requirements and implementation issues facing the defense industrial base.
Agenda topics include the Justice Department’s civil cyber-fraud initiative, NIST standards validation, CMMC reform input, and Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Assessment Center assessments. Supply-chain risk is also part of the discussion. The meeting offers a concentrated look at the oversight, assessment, and operational questions surrounding contractor cybersecurity.
10. Defense Curious Forum: From Curious to Mission Critical
The U.S. Space Force’s Defense Curious Forum takes place September 29 in El Segundo, California. The event is aimed at commercial founders and investors exploring how their technologies might address defense and space missions.
The program introduces space capability gaps, mission requirements, and acquisition pathways. Its emphasis is helping participants understand the government problem and the context in which a technology could be applied. Registration is available through the Luma link in the event listing.
