10 Trending Contract Opportunities on G2X | September 2, 2026
Ten current contract opportunities drawing attention across G2X, with the agency, scope, status, solicitation number, and response details that matter for qualification.
Two records in this edition invite industry to define the requirement. Air Combat Command's commercial solutions opening and DARPA's Tactical Technology Office solicitation both stay open into 2027, one taking five-page white papers by topic and the other two-page abstracts. Four others buy sustainment and modernization of systems already in the field: DISA's enterprise messaging platform on Azure and RabbitMQ, AFTRANS help desk operations at Scott AFB, USACE's navigation performance database moving from Oracle 19c toward Oracle 26AI, and NIWC Pacific's Application Arsenal platform, open only to SeaPort contract holders.
Qualification gates matter as much as scope here. DISA requires a final Secret facility clearance at proposal submission. The PM MAGTF C2 program support requirement is set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses under the SeaPort MAC. Four are total small business set-asides. And one entry is not a federal procurement at all: the artificial intelligence consulting RFP from the Universal Service Administrative Company is posted by the FCC for exposure, with a not-for-profit administrator as the buyer.
1. Modernized VAERS Reporting Application
CDC is buying a rebuilt front door for the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. The requirement covers a redesigned VAERS landing page and navigation, a guided reporting workflow that branches depending on whether the submitter is a member of the public or a healthcare provider, validation that assists with form completion, and reactive design elements including tooltips, informational popups, and modern popup FAQ features. Health and Human Services is the parent agency, and the CDC Office of Acquisition Services issued the combined synopsis/solicitation under solicitation number 75D301-26-Q-00146. The buy is a total small business set-aside classified under NAICS 541511 and product service code DA10, with performance in Georgia. An earlier update added an Artificial Intelligence Use Compliance and Risk Management Plan attachment, and Amendment 1 posted questions and answers, an updated solicitation, and a new offer deadline of September 8 at 10:00 AM ET. Small firms that build public-facing health reporting interfaces have roughly a week.

2. Enterprise Messaging Modernization and Engineering Support
DISA wants capability statements for EM5, lifecycle engineering and sustainment of a modernized enterprise messaging capability for its Command and Control Portfolio Management Office. The service distributes information among decoupled users and applications through standardized publish-subscribe mechanisms, and the platform runs on Azure Platform as a Service at IL2, IL5, and IL6 around a customized RabbitMQ cluster whose custom authorization plugin enforces role-based access on hierarchical topics. Support is continuous 24/7/365, with active-active multi-region continuity, client authentication limited to valid DoD-issued certificates over mTLS, and full end-to-end functionality in both classified and unclassified DevSecOps environments. Two facts filter the field early: work runs up to Secret, and a final Secret facility clearance from DCSA is required at proposal submission. The Defense Department record sits under solicitation number 62267558, NAICS 541512, with performance at Fort Meade. Capability statements are capped at seven pages and must list prime contract vehicles, though DISA encourages responses from firms with a CAGE code and no vehicle. Submissions are due October 2, 2026.

3. AIR COMBAT COMMAND HEADQUARTERS (ACC HQ) ACQUISITION MANAGEMENT INTEGRATION CENTER (AMIC) COMMERCIAL SOLUTIONS OPENING (CSO)
Air Combat Command keeps this commercial solutions opening open through March 31, 2027, and the topic list keeps turning over: an April 21, 2026 update added Topics 019 through 021. Issued under DFARS 212.70 by HQ ACC AMIC under solicitation number FA4890-CSO-0001-24, the competitive solicitation asks for innovative commercial technologies and services, including existing capabilities not currently in Air Force use, and awards come as FAR Part 12 contracts or other transactions under 10 U.S.C. 4022. One topic requires an ontology, an object-management system, and object-based production working as a single capability for fused target custody at scale, with dynamic updates to finished target systems analysis and foundational intelligence products; no data model, interface, or performance threshold is prescribed. Phase I is a one-page quad chart and a five-page white paper, retained by topic for up to 36 months and eligible for Phase II selection at any point in that window. Performance sits at Langley AFB under NAICS 541715.

4. TTO Office-Wide Solicitation 2026
DARPA's Tactical Technology Office runs its 2026 office-wide solicitation as a standing front door for platform and weapon concepts, with responses accepted through June 17, 2027 under solicitation number DARPA-PS-26-123. TTO describes its aim as accelerating new classes of platforms and weapons at a velocity adversaries cannot match, and the portfolio includes naval and aerospace platforms, novel propulsion, advanced autonomy, and advanced munitions. The filter is explicit: proposed work must pursue revolutionary advances in science, devices, or systems, and research primarily yielding evolutionary improvement to existing practice is excluded. Hardware is not the boundary; a process, including a business process, can itself be a prototype project. The path starts with a two-page abstract, and a full proposal submitted without the signed Encourage Full Proposal letter is non-conforming and will not be reviewed. Evaluation runs in descending order of overall scientific and technical merit, contribution and relevance to the DARPA mission, and cost realism. CMMC Level 2 self-assessment applies, and cost sharing is required when a traditional defense contractor is not teamed with a nontraditional one.

5. PM MAGTF C2 PMO Support Services: PM/FM/Ops (SDVOSB Set-Aside)
The PM MAGTF C2 program office requires total lifecycle acquisition services across administrative, business, acquisition, finance, cost, program management, and portfolio team activities. The contractor drafts and finalizes acquisition products, advises on systems acquisition under the DoD Adaptive Acquisition Framework and DoDI 5000.02, reviews IPT actions, maintains the MAGTF C2 action-item and milestone tracker, and briefs status to IPT leads weekly. Financial management runs through Cerberus, the Defense Agencies Initiative, PIEE, and SharePoint, with budget execution tracked across DAI, SABRS, ReportNet, the USMC NAVSEA Headquarters System, NHS, and CERBERUS. SharePoint is a workload of its own, from daily portal content maintenance to site-collection development and a legacy-data audit that informs document storage architecture and metadata. Offers close September 30, 2026 under solicitation number M67854-26-R-3007, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business set-aside using the SeaPort MAC, with performance in Stafford, Virginia. The monthly status report is due to the contracting officer's representative within 10 working days of each reportable month and covers cumulative labor hours, funds by CLIN, and the next 90 days of planned work.

6. RFI: Air Force Enterprise Rapid Operations Support (AEROS)
AFLCMC's C3BM OL-2 office is scoping AEROS, a commercial services requirement for AFTRANS enterprise functional help desk and technical operations support across the legacy application portfolio and the Next Generation modernized applications. The operating tempo is the hard part: 24/7/365 coverage reaching from the Primary Operations Center to Regional Operations Divisions inside Air Operations Centers worldwide, plus enroute hubs and aircrews, across unclassified and classified networks, cloud-native and legacy architectures, and specialized government-off-the-shelf software. The request leans on post-development sustainment, asking for evidence of running National Security Systems in secure production environments deployed by a separate development contractor and of holding availability without controlling the deployment pipeline. Respondents answer M1 through M5, T1 through T8, and F1 through F3 in the order posed, within five unclassified pages, and must state whether they hold a Secret facility clearance. The Air Force anticipates five years including options and has set this requirement, solicitation number AEROS, aside entirely for small business at Scott AFB, with responses due September 30, 2026. Only one response per organization is permitted.

7. Services to Support Update & Development of Enhancements to National Navigation Operation & Management Performance Evaluation & Assessment System (NNOMPEAS) FY 2026-2027
USACE keeps the National Navigation Operation & Management Performance Evaluation & Assessment System current with this buy: annual data updates plus continued development of tabulation, viewing, extraction, download, and analysis features for planners and operations and maintenance staff. The platform itself is the technical fork. NNOMPEAS must keep working while it moves from Oracle 19c and APEX 24 toward Oracle 26AI and APEX 26, with interim and production migration into an IL4 cloud environment and possible Risk Management Framework work, a dependency the technical approach and staffing plan have to carry. One enhancement comes with a number attached: the VTN work must support national roll-up and cut annual computation from roughly three to four dedicated man-weeks to four to five man-days spread across eight to fifteen calendar days. The Army issued the combined synopsis/solicitation under solicitation number PANHEC-26-P-0000-026813, a total small business set-aside that requires CMMC Level 2 self-assessment. Proposals now close on the eighth of September after two amendments extended the due date, and a third posted answers and corrected the CMMC statement.

8. USAC RFP: Artificial Intelligence (AI) Consulting and Support Services
This one carries a caveat worth reading before the pursuit meeting. USAC, a not-for-profit Delaware corporation appointed by the FCC as permanent administrator of the Universal Service Fund, is acquiring artificial intelligence consulting and support services, and the FCC is publicizing the posting only to give the solicitation wide exposure. The record states plainly that this is not a procurement by a federal agency, government corporation, or other executive branch establishment, and that the resulting contract will not be a subcontract under a federal prime contract to USAC. USAC handles billing, collection, and disbursement for the fund and its High Cost, Lifeline, Rural Health Care, and Schools & Libraries support mechanisms under FCC oversight. The combined synopsis/solicitation is issued under FAR Part 13 and is the only solicitation that will be published, with all communication routed through USAC's contracting office. Proposals under solicitation number IT-26-139 are due September 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET.

9. System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Support for Public Safety Communications (PSC)
Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground plans a single-award cost-plus-fixed-fee term contract for systems engineering and technical assistance to Product Director Base Emergency Communications System, and what is posted under solicitation number W15P7T-27-R-A001 is a draft RFP with an October 1, 2026 response date. The work integrates and modernizes the Army's public safety communications architecture against the Common Transport Layer and Services infrastructure of the Army Global Unified Network, spanning NG-911 telecommunications, location information and geographic information services, land mobile radio, emergency mass warning and notification, FirstNet, and PSAP systems including computer-aided dispatch and NG-911 call handling equipment at installations worldwide. Cybersecurity management threads through all of it, from recurring scan review and POA&M remediation to RMF certification support and quarterly assessment reporting in eMASS. Deliverable timing is set early: the Architectural Modernization Plan is due in draft 90 days after award and final at 120 days, with system design documents keyed to its approval. The set-aside is small business under NAICS 541330 with a $25.5M size standard.

10. APPLICATION ARSENAL (AA) ENTERPRISE ENGINEERING AND LIFECYCLE SUPPORT _*SEAPORT CONTRACT HOLDERS ONLY
Access decides this one before capability does: NIWC Pacific's Command and Control Systems Division is buying full lifecycle systems engineering and software sustainment for the Application Arsenal platform, and only SeaPort contract holders may respond by the September 30, 2026 deadline under solicitation number N6600126R3507. The effort covers 61,440 direct labor hours in each of the base and three option periods, 245,760 hours overall, performed at NIWC Pacific, in laboratories, and aboard Navy vessels from unclassified through Top Secret/SCI spaces. Work includes integration of edge servers, autonomous vehicle platforms, payloads, sensors, and mission systems, with real-time command and control exchange of mission tasking, telemetry, and sensor data to and from autonomous systems. Sustainment runs on approved agile processes with an acceptable quality level of 95 percent of committed story points per sprint. The oral presentation addresses sample tasks on air-gapped software deployment, CI/CD pipelines with automated security gates, and engineering for disconnected, intermittent, and limited-bandwidth environments. A major subcontractor must send an unsanitized cost proposal directly to the government through PIEE, and a late submission makes the prime's proposal incomplete.
