# Top 10 Federal Contract Opportunities: October 6, 2026

The top 10 federal contract opportunities the G2X community researched most over the last 24 hours.

Original article: https://g2x.com/blog/top-10-federal-contract-opportunities-october-6-2026

Explore the top 10 federal contract opportunities in yesterday’s G2X community research. Military medical R&D, worldwide justice-program support and Marine Corps IT are among the requirements drawing attention. The roundup explains what each buyer is seeking and where the work stands in the acquisition process.

## [1\. DHA OMNIBUS IV on-ramp](https://g2x.com/app/opportunities/sam/e2136d5a-e488-4a75-ba8d-062b7c648f5d)

The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity is preparing an on-ramp to OMNIBUS IV, its multiple-award vehicle for military medical research and development services. The planned competition would add contractors to an existing indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity framework rather than buy a single research project. DHA expects to release the request for proposals in early November, with the competition set aside for eligible 8(a) businesses.

Solicitation number HT942627RE002 is the current presolicitation reference. It carries forward an earlier on-ramp effort that was delayed during fiscal 2026. The distinction matters: this is advance acquisition information for the medical R&D market, with the proposal instructions and response window to follow in the anticipated RFP.

## [2\. DOJ ICITAP/OPDAT worldwide support](https://g2x.com/app/opportunities/sam/f25b8f1f-fc6f-4e31-9437-9e44b6f73de1)

The Justice Department’s Justice Management Division, Procurement Services Staff, is accepting proposals for worldwide support to ICITAP and OPDAT, its international criminal-justice development programs. Solicitation number 15JPSS26R00000038 combines administrative, logistical, technical, professional and program-management services under a planned single-award IDIQ with a $500 million ceiling. Much of the work will take place overseas, including austere and politically sensitive environments.

The work extends beyond supplying instructors. It can involve mentoring, laboratory development, training facilities, travel, equipment and the local arrangements needed to operate in participating countries. A web-based program-management tool must be hosted and maintained in the contractor’s environment while remaining accessible to authorized DOJ staff. The planned structure includes a three-month transition, two-year base and five one-year options. Proposals are due October 14 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.

## [3\. Marine Corps Education Command IT support](https://g2x.com/app/opportunities/sam/7c474918-c191-423f-99e3-2039c4b7e006)

The Marine Corps’ regional contracting office at Quantico is procuring information technology support services for Education Command. The planned single-award IDIQ has a five-year ordering period and a $45 million ceiling, with firm-fixed-price service lines and cost-reimbursable travel. The competition is reserved entirely for women-owned small businesses.

The EDCOM presolicitation remains the community-researched entry, but its update directs prospective offerors to solicitation number M00264-27-R-0001 on SAM.gov to participate. That new solicitation replaces the expected posting path under M00264-26-R-0015 following a technical issue. The requirement supports EDCOM in Quantico; the current solicitation is the place for the detailed work statement and submission instructions.

## [4\. AFRL CHEERS commercial solutions opening](https://g2x.com/app/opportunities/sam/bc7252f0-517b-48d9-83c6-3265bffbd82b)

The Air Force Research Laboratory’s 711th Human Performance Wing is seeking innovative commercial products, technologies and services through CHEERS Open Period 3. Solicitation number FA238424S2336 covers all technical areas in the continuing human-performance program. Proposed solutions must meet the wing’s operational requirements through commercially viable technology or a novel military adaptation of commercial technology.

The commercial solutions opening remains active through September 30, 2028. Its annual update revises commercial contracting provisions and cybersecurity requirements and points respondents to the September CHEERS Industry Guide. The parent announcement supplies the statements of objectives and additional submission material. This is an open route for commercial innovation across the program’s technical areas, rather than a purchase of one specified product.

## [5\. Navy PMS 470 professional support](https://g2x.com/app/opportunities/sam/76f2d8df-645c-4acc-a700-b00ffe276bff)

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, is accepting proposals for professional support to PMS 470 within the Navy’s maritime acquisition organization. Solicitation number N0016426R3120 covers integrated logistics, program management, acquisition and contract management, business and financial management, and integrated performance analysis. The requirement brings the operational and business sides of program support into the same acquisition.

The competition is a total small-business set-aside among current SeaPort-NxG multiple-award contract holders. Proposals from firms outside that vehicle will not be considered. Responses are due October 9, and the notice directs offerors to Amendment 0001 in the PIEE solicitation module.

## [6\. AFTAC mission integration and technology engagement](https://g2x.com/app/opportunities/sam/065fa924-007d-4891-9cb5-17e491bb8993)

The Air Force Technical Applications Center is inviting industry into an acquisition-focused discussion of mission gaps, enterprise integration and architecture modernization. Its notice explicitly invites white papers through AFTAC’s enduring Broad Agency Announcement and Commercial Solutions Opening pathways. The Acquisition Management and Integration Center’s Patrick contracting office is handling the engagement under solicitation number AFTACIND1.

The December 9 industry day at Patrick Space Force Base includes mission orchestration, mission design, rapid innovation, systems development and an explanation of the BAA and CSO processes. Briefings and discussions are at the Secret level. Both large and small businesses may participate, but every attendee needs a final Secret clearance and advance vetting. Registration closes November 25. The engagement connects those mission briefings to the proposal pathways; it is not itself a request for a priced services proposal.

## [7\. Navy Insider Threat Program support](https://g2x.com/app/opportunities/sam/9718efb3-c2f8-4395-9050-174646637b77)

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk is gathering capability information for support to the Navy Insider Threat Program. The sources-sought request, solicitation number N0018927QD001, is limited to small businesses holding SeaPort multiple-award contracts and specifies a Top Secret facility clearance. It is market research for a possible acquisition, not a request for quotes.

Respondents must explain their ability to deliver the services and provide relevant past-performance information. The technical submission is limited to three pages, excluding the cover sheet; generic company brochures will not be reviewed. The requested company information includes the SeaPort contract number and accounting-system status. Written responses are due October 9.

## [8\. IHS health economics analysis](https://g2x.com/app/opportunities/sam/32ae0a3c-0a8e-41f1-8c41-d94b3a2152bd)

The Indian Health Service is procuring health economics analysis to help decide where to expand direct care, rely on Purchased/Referred Care, or consider options such as mobile services and telehealth. Its Division of Acquisition Policy is handling solicitation number 75H70427Q00003 for an assessment that connects service-area access findings with the cost and expected benefit of different investments.

The contractor will work with a companion geographic-information study, combining travel times, facility capabilities, referral costs and demand into service-by-service, place-by-place comparisons. The work calls for a senior lead health economist, make-or-buy and break-even models, budget-constrained priorities, and a final decision-support package with code and workbooks that IHS can reuse. Quantitative findings must trace back to documented data, methods and assumptions. Quotations are due October 9.

## [9\. NALCOMIS virtual-environment administration](https://g2x.com/app/opportunities/sam/e5a8d80a-ad53-453e-a284-25f565ce815b)

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk is procuring technical support for the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System in a virtual environment. The work supports Commander, Naval Air Force Reserve’s Aviation Supply Directorate and includes system administration, management, operations, maintenance and training. Solicitation number N0018926R3108 is a total small-business set-aside for SeaPort-NxG contract holders.

The acquisition uses a two-step process. Its latest amendment says Step One evaluations are still in progress, with notifications to follow by email, and extends the Step Two response period. The solicitation and amendments govern participation and timing for this stage, alongside the revised performance work statement and quality-assurance requirements.

## [10\. Goodfellow AFB robotic dishroom design](https://g2x.com/app/opportunities/sam/2ff9fb18-6be0-43a9-8284-9c42fdf92f0a)

The Air Force Nonappropriated Fund Procurement Office is researching firms that can design an automatic robotic dishroom for a dining facility at Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, Texas. The design would combine automated ware washing, conveying and robotic handling for high-volume dining, while preserving a manual bypass for outages or maintenance. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and utility requirements must be incorporated where needed.

Solicitation number VPCF100226\_GoodfellowAFB is a sources-sought request for design, spatial planning and specification documents. Construction, equipment purchases, permitting and installation are outside its scope. Interested firms must submit a capability statement of no more than five pages, including the required past-performance questionnaire and comparable-project references, by October 16 at 4 p.m. Central. The office anticipates a later solicitation following market research.
