Top 10 Federal Contract Opportunities: October 10, 2026
Explore the top 10 federal contract opportunities the G2X community researched most over the last 24 hours.
Yesterday’s G2X community research puts agency IT support, scientific computing and mission services among the top 10 federal contract opportunities. The roundup follows the requirements drawing the most research attention, with a closer look at the work, the actual buyer and the current acquisition stage.
1. SSA IT Support Services
The Social Security Administration’s Office of Acquisition and Grants is accepting proposals for the IT Support Services Contract recompete, a multiple-award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity vehicle for agency IT support. The acquisition establishes the contract framework under which the agency will order work, rather than describing a single stand-alone technology purchase.
The amended solicitation addresses offeror questions, revises supporting materials, adds travel line items and incorporates a small-business subcontracting-plan outline. A subsequent correction supplies the proper statement-of-work version and clarifies that outline. Responses to solicitation 28321326R00000022 are due October 15.

2. VA SSI Scheduling Tools
VA’s Technology Acquisition Center in New Jersey is gathering information on a brand-name-or-equal Structured Solutions Inc. tools bundle. The requirement concerns the quality and usability of project schedules: analyzing Microsoft Project plans, identifying critical and driving paths, and checking schedule health against a 14-point assessment. Excel-based reporting and resource analysis are also part of the requested functionality.
VA is asking potential suppliers to address the characteristics an equivalent product would need to satisfy, including licensing, updates and support. The package is described around perpetual licensing, making the commercial model part of the product comparison rather than a separate afterthought. This is an information-gathering step, not an invitation to assume that any scheduling application will qualify. Responses under solicitation 36C10B27Q0038 are due October 15.

3. Army Agile Professional Services
Army Contracting Command–Aberdeen Proving Ground’s Orlando Division is seeking Agile Professional Services for Capability Program Executive Simulation, Training, Test and Threat, or CPE ST3. The work spans the life cycle of simulation and training systems, including acquisition and budget planning, engineering, integration, logistics, testing and sustainment.
The central requirement is a change in how that support is delivered. The contractor must develop a task-based, outcome-driven Agile framework that can replace a traditional staffing model and be replicated across later requirements. Performance can combine government facilities, contractor locations and remote work, with Orlando and Redstone Arsenal among the main sites. The total-small-business competition uses a phased evaluation. Phase I responses to solicitation W900KK-26-R-A023 are due October 25 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.

4. NOAA Climate-Modeling HPC Support
NOAA’s Western Acquisition Division and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory are gathering capabilities for high-performance computing software development and technical services. The Princeton-based laboratory, part of NOAA Research, develops Earth-system models that connect the atmosphere, ocean, land and other environmental systems across different time and geographic scales.
The requirement joins scientific software support with the computing environment needed to run those models. Scope includes model coupling and workflow tools, data services, high-performance computing operations, networks, user systems and cybersecurity support. It is a services requirement rather than a direct equipment purchase. NOAA is using the responses to assess available suppliers and potential small-business approaches; the contemplated structure includes a base year and four option years. Capabilities for solicitation REQUIREMENTS-25-1463-27 are due October 27.

5. VA Providence Nurse-Call Maintenance
VA Network Contracting Office 1 intends a sole-source procurement for maintenance of Rauland Responder nurse-call systems at Providence VA Medical Center, while accepting capability statements that could support a competitive approach. The work covers preventive and corrective service across clinical areas, twice-yearly functional assessments and electronic reports after completed service calls.
The base-year scope also includes converting emergency-department and operating-room systems from Responder 4 to Responder 5K, plus nurse-call additions in three rooms. Providers must be within 60 miles of the medical center and factory-authorized for the specified systems. VA identifies SIGNET as its intended source. The October 13 response window under solicitation 36C24126Q0857 is for demonstrating capability; it should not be confused with an open request for competing price proposals.

7. NGA Human Resource Management II
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency is seeking broad human-capital support for its Human Development Directorate through Human Resource Management II. The work connects personnel administration and employee records with recruitment, assignments, performance management, career programs and workforce planning. PeopleSoft is central to several workflows, alongside survey tools and human-capital analytics.
The scope is operational as well as advisory. It includes processing personnel actions, reconciling pay discrepancies, maintaining employee files and supporting offer and entry-on-duty coordination. Other tasks address performance-review redesign, competency analysis and statistical models for workforce decisions. Core labor is priced separately from special projects and other direct costs. The unrestricted solicitation HM047626R0018 uses a best-value approach, with technical, staffing, transition and AI-use material included in the proposal requirements. Responses are due October 26.

8. AFRL M-DASH Battle-Management Demo
Air Force Research Laboratory’s M-DASH call under JADPACT II seeks working software demonstrations for human-machine battle-management teams. The functions move from identifying potential effects, to matching them with available units, to assembling force packages and game plans. The emphasis is a functional minimum viable product and lessons learned, rather than a finished software system.
Selected teams will bring their own hardware to a Las Vegas event scheduled for January 25–February 4, 2027, and connect to government-provided interfaces and data schemas. The call allows up to $100,000 per selected offeror within an estimated $600,000 program. Proposals must explain the live demonstration approach; subsequent deliverables include a presentation, survey and structured decision logs. Responses to solicitation FA238426SB007 are due October 21.

9. Army STE Virtual Software
Army Contracting Command–Aberdeen Proving Ground’s Orlando Division is soliciting solutions for a composable Synthetic Training Environment on behalf of CPE ST3’s Program Manager Simulation. The objective is collective mounted training that supports preparation for live fire, combined-arms operations and concurrent mission command, with open interfaces that allow capabilities to be integrated over time.
The current submission window covers Lots 1, 3 and 5 only: the simulation core, hardware-in-the-loop integration, and enterprise integration with development, security and operations infrastructure. Lots 2 and 4 are deferred. That distinction matters because the broader technical description also discusses application modules and after-action analytics. Solutions under solicitation STE-VSW-26-0006 are due October 13 at 10 a.m. Eastern, with demonstrations and further selection steps following the initial review.

10. Air Force E-3G Data-at-Rest Upgrade
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s WIW organization is gathering capabilities to resolve obsolescence in the E-3G AWACS DAR-400 data-at-rest equipment. The existing equipment holds encrypted mission-system data, and the Air Force says its inability to accommodate changing security requirements creates an operational concern.
The proposed work is installation and integration of a government-owned KG-204-based replacement, rather than development of an unrelated encryption product. AFLCMC is surveying firms of all business sizes and asking for relevant personnel qualifications, similar-project experience and anticipated teaming arrangements. This is a Sources Sought notice, not a request for proposals. Capability packages for solicitation FA8102-27-F-0xxx are due October 30 and are limited to ten pages.
