Top 10 Federal Contract Opportunities: October 1, 2026

Market Intelligence

The top 10 federal contract opportunities the G2X community researched most over the last 24 hours.

Here are the top 10 federal contract opportunities the G2X community researched most over the last 24 hours. Yesterday’s attention spans installation support, enterprise communications, health research, public safety, and mission software. The entries explain each requirement and its current acquisition stage.

1. AFIMSC SPEED commercial solutions

The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center is using its SPEED Commercial Solutions Opening to seek commercial approaches to installation and mission-support problems. The 772nd Enterprise Sourcing Squadron manages the acquisition. Current areas of interest include modernized facility-space planning and a resilient, relocatable expeditionary-facility prototype for Pacific operations.

The prototype work extends from engineering and fabrication through transport, field assembly, commissioning, and operational evaluation. The stored requirement calls for evidence of rapid erection, environmental performance, and the ability to reconfigure or relocate the structure. Space-planning submissions have an October 29 deadline, while the resilient-facility topic accepts submissions on an open basis. Each topic has its own response conditions under solicitation FA890326SC001.

2. IRS audiovisual and video-conferencing integration

The Internal Revenue Service’s Office of the Chief Procurement Officer, through its IT acquisition organization, is procuring enterprise audiovisual and video-teleconferencing integration, support, and maintenance. The master IDIQ covers conference-room design, installation, modernization, and ongoing service across the IRS’s nationwide facilities, including existing rooms and planned additions.

The work must fit the IRS’s established equipment and Microsoft Teams Rooms environment. Site surveys, equipment staging, testing, acceptance documentation, and preventive and corrective maintenance are part of the delivery model. The September 30 amendment extends the Phase II proposal deadline to October 30. This phase is for invited offerors from the earlier competition; it is not a new opening for firms that missed Phase I.

3. NIH AI support for health and extreme-weather research

The NIH Clinical Center’s Critical Care Medicine Department is seeking specialized AI and data-science support for its Health and Extreme Weather study. Its Clinical Epidemiology Section will examine how extreme heat relates to emergency-department and hospital overcrowding and mortality. Another part of the research applies language models to emergency medical services narratives to identify heat exposure that structured records may miss.

The two-year effort includes data preparation, modeling, information extraction, evaluation design, and testing for robustness across healthcare datasets. NIH intends to procure the work from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is accepting capability statements from responsible sources to assess whether competition is appropriate. This is a notice of intent, not a competitive request for proposals.

4. Army TEIS IV engineering and integration on-ramp

The Army’s Total Engineering and Integration Services IV on-ramp supports the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command. Army Contracting Command–Aberdeen Proving Ground’s Southwest contracting organization is handling the acquisition. The underlying work translates Army business and mission needs into information-system requirements, architecture, designs, and acquisition packages for telecommunications infrastructure.

TEIS IV spans systems engineering, database development, standards, integration, and test and evaluation. Individual task orders define domestic or overseas performance locations and the mix of fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, or time-and-materials work. The stored requirement also calls for quality-control documentation and progress reporting. This on-ramp concerns access to that engineering-services vehicle rather than a single installation project or a stand-alone hardware purchase.

5. Marine Corps communications-system support

Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic is gathering small-business capability information for the Marine Corps Communication Systems Integrated Product Team. The contemplated support brings together systems engineering, software, cybersecurity, technical services, management, and logistics for the team’s communications initiatives. Draft performance requirements accompany the market survey.

Responses are restricted to SeaPort NxG small-business multiple-award contract holders, which must use the required PIEE account process. The anticipated period includes a base year, four one-year options, and a six-month option. The latest revision updates the market survey and draft performance work statement. NIWC Atlantic is conducting market research at this stage; the notice is not a request for proposals and the requirement remains subject to approval.

6. ONR long-range Navy and Marine Corps research

The Office of Naval Research’s long-range Broad Agency Announcement accepts science and technology proposals relevant to Navy and Marine Corps missions. The research objective, technical approach, funding, and performance period depend on the proposed effort and technology area. Naval relevance is central to the evaluation, alongside the merits of the research itself.

The announcement accommodates research teams and collaborations rather than prescribing one uniform development project. Where applicable, performers must explain how they will evaluate operational usefulness and exchange software, data, and other information within an integrated program. The current amendment extends the announcement through December 31, 2026, or an earlier successor announcement. Submission routes and required proposal files differ by the intended award instrument.

7. Army public-safety communications engineering

Army Contracting Command–Aberdeen Proving Ground is seeking systems engineering and technical assistance for the Army’s public-safety communications portfolio. The work supports Product Director Base Emergency Communications System within Project Manager Integrated Enterprise Network and CPE C2IN. It covers the engineering, program, and cybersecurity support needed to modernize and maintain emergency communications across Army installations.

The environment includes next-generation 911, dispatch and call-handling systems, land-mobile radio, mass warning and notification, and FirstNet interoperability. Deliverables include architecture and integration plans, vulnerability-management records, configuration baselines, and assessments of integrator work. The solicitation is a small-business set-aside for a single cost-plus-fixed-fee award. Proposals are due October 1 at noon Eastern, making the current response deadline a material participation constraint.

8. IHS influenza-like illness surveillance modernization

The Indian Health Service’s Division of Acquisition Policy is procuring modernization of its influenza-like illness surveillance processes and algorithms. The Influenza-like Illness Awareness System uses daily exports from participating Indian Health Service, Tribal, and Urban Indian facilities to support national, Area, and local reporting. The project combines a current-system assessment with improvements to the repository, validation, and reporting automation.

The contractor will address data quality, transparency, documentation, and the sustainability of the surveillance process while preserving compatibility with existing facility data. IHS expects source code, configuration, workflows, and operational documentation that allow the government to maintain the resulting system. The acquisition is restricted to Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises, with substantive technical and implementation work scheduled to finish by July 31, 2027.

9. Navy intelligence exploitation and targeting systems

Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division is accepting proposals for Intelligence Exploitation and Targeting Systems. The acquisition covers engineering and integration supporting intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, command-and-control, and mission-planning systems. Its technical scope includes common geopositioning capabilities and the software and interfaces needed to use intelligence across operational environments.

Relevant work includes photogrammetric and geolocation algorithms, sensor models, time-sensitive targeting, software design, integration, testing, and training products. The solicitation requires a technical-challenge response as well as evidence of comparable delivery experience. The latest amendment addresses a second set of industry questions, and proposals are due October 19. Access to controlled technical material follows the solicitation’s registration and authorization requirements.

10. Kessel Run Revolutionary Air Operations Center

Kessel Run is collecting industry input on the Revolutionary Air Operations Center weapon system. The Air Force program brings together hardware, software, third-party mission applications, and web services that must remain operational around the clock in contested environments. Its RFI focuses on an integrated approach to the platform, infrastructure, and applications supporting that mission.

The program must maintain and secure a mixed technology environment while preserving interoperability with other defense systems. Government and commercial off-the-shelf components are part of the approach, alongside third-party application development and sustainment. Kessel Run is accepting voluntary white papers of up to eight pages through October 14. The notice is market research for the future system, not an invitation to submit a priced proposal.
