Assess whether an open-weight model fits a GovCon workflow

- A recognizable GovCon task, a public source packet and people responsible for capture, technical operations and information handling.

1. **Prepare the public task** Choose a relevant federal opportunity in G2X and collect the original public solicitation, relevant attachments and amendments. Record source URLs and versions. Ask a practitioner for the facts a usable qualification brief must cover. Do not claim any suggested opportunity was found or opened unless observed. 2. **Identify the actual operating options** Ask which approved service or deployment the organization already has and what additional control the proposed model would supply. Verify exact model license, service, region and supported features using current official documentation. Distinguish open weights from an open-source license. Do not infer CUI approval or compliance from a government-cloud label.

3. **Draft the ownership and cost questions** Identify owners for model and serving-software updates, access, logs, capacity, incident response and restoring a previous version. Include operating labor, hosting and other service usage in the comparison without inventing prices or savings. Trace document, tool and logging destinations with the technical owner. Plan a bounded first-month trial, how users report bad answers, a manual fallback during investigation and a decision date. Distinguish model, missing-document and document-reading failures before proposing a replacement.

4. **Plan a comparable review** Use the same public packet and task across authorized options. Illustrative prompt: Prepare a qualification brief describing the buyer need, delivery conditions and company facts to establish. Cite file and page or section for every material requirement. Separate facts from proposed next actions. Require human review and record actual omissions and correction effort. Do not execute a paid comparison or provision resources without authority. Plan a controlled version change and rerun the same packet; preserve a return path to the previous working version. This is a proposed trial, not evidence of execution.

5. **Return the recommendation and remaining decisions** Recommend hosting only to the extent supported by the task and operating evidence.
