The G2X Research Team
Can your company actually compete for this government task order?
Use G2X vehicle and company research, then check the official holder list and ordering requirements to establish who can submit an offer for a task order.
To establish whether your company can compete for a government task order, identify the underlying contract vehicle, the eligible contract or pool, and the legal entity that would submit the offer. Then compare the current ordering requirements with that entity's actual contract access. G2X helps you investigate reported vehicles and awardees; the original contract and order instructions determine the route into this competition.
A capture team needs this answer before assigning substantial proposal work. The service may fit the business well, while the buyer is buying it through a contract your company does not hold. That can change the next useful action from preparing a prime offer to investigating a specific role with an eligible holder.
Follow the order to its parent contract
Start with the opportunity in G2X and follow its original notice. Read the notice type as well as the requirement. A sources-sought request, forecast and issued task-order solicitation represent different stages, with different actions available to a contractor.
The Navy's current Mission Assurance Services notice, N0017827R4405, makes the access restriction explicit: the opportunity is limited to SeaPort multiple-award contract holders. Its public advance notice describes a contemplated SeaPort-NxG task order and invites capability statements from small-business holders while the set-aside decision remains undecided. As checked October 5, the current SAM record gives an October 6, 2026, noon EDT response date. This is a sources-sought and advance notice, not a request for proposals. The September industry day and its registration deadline have already passed.
That example is enough to identify an access question. It does not establish that any particular firm is eligible, or that the eventual solicitation will retain every draft condition. Read the public advance notice and use authorized access for any controlled attachments relevant to your own pursuit.
Check the specific competition pool
Use G2X Federal Contract Vehicles to investigate the vehicle. The guide explains how to examine task orders and the Awardees & Solicitation section. You can also inspect Contract Vehicles on a company profile. Confirm the entity, contract number and reported period before using a record to focus your research.
Then verify current access with the vehicle's official source. For OASIS+, GSA publishes a current contractor list and a buyers' ordering guide. The guide explains that competition is organized around the applicable OASIS+ contract, domain and NAICS code. A company's general association with OASIS+ does not settle which pool it can compete in. These are OASIS+ resources; use the corresponding official sources for SeaPort or another vehicle.
Read the order's set-aside and other stated restrictions alongside the holder information. Also check the requirements that affect the proposed offer or performance, such as security, accounting systems, staffing or required credentials. Record the evidence for a condition and when it must be met. A reported vehicle award is a research lead, and historical work does not certify current order eligibility.
Decide what role is available to your firm
If the relevant entity has the required access, the team can proceed to a fuller bid decision around delivery and evaluation. If it does not, identify a contribution that an eligible prime would have a reason to consider. G2X company research can help you investigate holders associated with relevant work, then prepare a focused teaming conversation.
Ask about the actual pursuit and proposed role. A holder's appearance in a database does not establish that it intends to bid, has agreed to your workshare or will include your business. Joining a team also does not make the subcontractor an independent prime offeror under the vehicle. The prime-or-subcontractor article covers that broader business choice.
Keep the access evidence, unresolved condition and next conversation in the free G2X CRM. Community Edition supports this research path; official holder lists and ordering documents provide a free manual way to check the result.
With G2X Lumen access, upload the permitted ordering documents and requirement package to assess the proposed route, qualify the opportunity and identify gaps. Ask it to cite each consequential restriction and separate reported contract history from current access evidence. Use the Lumen question guide and check current access. A missing contract document should leave a question for the capture owner, rather than a confident eligibility conclusion.

For agents
Establish the actual contract route and competition pool before investing in a task-order response
- Signed-in G2X company and Federal Contract Vehicles access; the exact entity, original notice/order identifier, parent vehicle and current authorized ordering documents; official holder evidence for the vehicle involved. Confirm Lumen access and permitted uploads. Controlled Navy documents and the unavailable SeaPort portal were not read; those limits must remain explicit.
Determine the notice stage and parent route
Locate the opportunity in G2X and read its original notice, amendments and permitted attachments. Record the notice type, parent vehicle, actual response instructions and deadline/time zone. The article Navy example N0017827R4405 was updated October 1 and checked October 5, 2026; it is a sources-sought/advance notice for a contemplated SeaPort-NxG task order, not an RFP. The current SAM deadline is October 6 noon EDT. The public PDF uses EST; retain that discrepancy and follow the current official record or seek authorized clarification. Its capability invitation is for small-business holders while set-aside status remains undecided. Do not revive the passed September industry-day dates or seek controlled documents without access.
Inspect reported vehicles and awardees in G2X
Use https://g2x.com/docs/decide-to-bid/check-vehicle-access and Federal Contract Vehicles at https://g2x.com/app/awards/vehicles. Inspect Task Orders and Awardees & Solicitation. Use https://g2x.com/docs/understand-market/research-a-company to inspect a company Contract Vehicles inventory. Match the legal entity, reported parent contract, period and coverage message. Reported awards or an active-looking badge do not prove current eligibility for each order.
Verify the specific pool with official evidence
Obtain the corresponding official current holder list and ordering guide. For the article OASIS+ example, use the October 1, 2026 workbook linked from https://www.gsa.gov/buy-through-us/products-and-services/professional-services/buy-services/oasis-plus/sellers-guide and https://www.gsa.gov/buy-through-us/products-and-services/professional-services/buy-services/oasis-plus/buyers-guide/buyers-guide-printable. Match contract number, entity/UEI when available, contract program, domain and applicable NAICS/CLIN. Do not treat the master contract primary NAICS alone as the full eligibility pool. These are OASIS+ sources, not SeaPort evidence. For the actual pursuit also read its set-aside and order-specific requirements and when each must be met. Missing source evidence leaves access unresolved.
Compare the proposed route manually or in Lumen
Define whether the entity would prime or contribute a specified work package to an eligible holder. Research relevant firms in G2X; do not infer willingness to bid or a teaming agreement. With confirmed Lumen access, attach permitted official ordering and requirement documents using https://g2x.com/docs/lumen/ask-a-good-question. Illustrative prompt, not an executed demonstration: "Compare this proposed entity and role with the named vehicle, competition pool and original order instructions. Cite every consequential access condition and distinguish current official evidence, historical G2X award records and unknowns. Identify gaps and questions for our capture owner. Do not certify eligibility or invent a teaming commitment." Check the citations and prepare a CRM research note with source links and the proposed next action using https://g2x.com/docs/run-a-pipeline/track-an-account. Save or contact a firm only with authority.
